American Figures manuscript collection now processed and digitized

Wilkes University Archives is excited to announce that thanks to Garrett Berlin, a Junior History major minoring in Political Science, and Kaelin Hughes, a senior History and Political Science major minoring in Policy Studies, the American Figures series of the Gilbert Stuart McClintock collection is now processed and digitized.
This American Figures collection consists of correspondence, autographs, drawings, photographs and slavery manuscripts that span the 18th through the 20th centuries, delving into the intimate exchanges, personal reflections, and significant narratives that shed light on the lives and times of early American figures. These letters offer a window into the thoughts, aspirations, and challenges of individuals who shaped the course of American history.
Check out the blog post, written by Kaelin, that highlights many of these manuscripts written by American activists and their contributions to their political causes: https://wuarchives.home.blog/2024/05/20/for-the-benefit-of-the-cause-political-activism-within-american-figures-correspondence-and-american-autographs-of-the-gilbert-stuart-mcclintock-collection/
