The Office of Technology for Teaching and Learning announces an enhancement we are adding to the LIVE homepage on May 28th. It’s called the Slim Announcements widget. This new widget will replace the existing Announcements widget and will present a simplified, unified view of the announcements, by trimming the display to a single image and a shorter length of text that allows you to ‘Read More’ with a simple click. The streamlined display avoids overwhelming readers and makes it more obvious when there are multiple announcements for viewing. Please note this change will only affect the main LIVE homepage, your individual course homepages will not change.
This and more new homepage widgets will be available soon for faculty to add to their courses. Look for the ‘New Homepage Widgets‘ session at our Teaching with Technology (TWT) event this summer, full schedule coming soon, where we will review the collection of new widgets that bring new options for your courses, including a multi-instructor profile widget, and a visual table of contents. We are excited about these new widgets and their potential to enhance your courses.
