Historic Newspapers, Magazines, and Advertisements collection now digitized and available online

Wilkes University Archives is excited to announce that thanks to Bryce Greco, a junior History major, and Emma Broda, a sophomore History and Political Science major and Women’s and Gender Studies and Art History minor, the Newspapers, Magazines, and Advertisements series of the Gilbert Stuart McClintock collection is now processed and digitized.

Bryce is heavily active within Wilkes’s music department.  He is a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi honorary music fraternity, and plays alto saxophone in both the Pep band and Jazz Ensemble.  Next year, he will also join the Civic band.  Outside of music, Bryce is a member of the Honors Program, the pre-law society, and the Phi Alpha Theta honorary history fraternity.  Off-campus, Bryce is involved in Freemasonry.  After graduating next year, he will pursue his goals and attend law school.

Emma is a member of the Honors Program and a News staff writer for the Beacon. Following her time at Wilkes, Emma is interested in continuing her studies in history, specifically interested in American history.

The finding aid can be found here on archivesspace. Feel free to check out Bryce and Emma’s blog post which highlights these historic newspapers, magazines, and advertisements on significant events that occurred in our area and academic institution.
