The Office of Academic Success is hosting an Advising Workshop -Advising: Tips & Tricks Training on Thursday, September 18th at 1:30pm in the Miller Room. The workshop aimed at assisting advisors in developing tools and practices to support their students. This is the same workshop that we offered last May.
Topics covered include (but are not limited to):
- Overview of Office of Academic Success services
- Early Alert and Early 0.0 procedures
- Working with students placed on academic probation
- Advising tools such as SLATE and Degree Works
- Advising special populations (athletes and international students)
- Advising best practices
