| Hello all, I wanted to share with you all that I will be resigning from my position as Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, effective February 2026. This was not an easy decision, but as I move into the next chapter of my life and career, I’m choosing to transition my work closer to my new home in a way that better supports my family and brings more balance. It’s impossible to fully express how much teaching at the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy has meant to me! Being part of your learning has been one of the greatest joys of my professional life. Each of you has shaped me as an educator in ways I will always carry with me. Thank you for your hard work, your questions, your trust, and the laughter we’ve shared over the years. You have made me a better teacher and a better person. Although I will be stepping away from my full-time role, my connection to the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy will always remain strong. I look forward to finding ways to stay connected with the NSOP in the future. One piece of advice I would like to leave you: Every lecture, lab, rotation, and patient encounter is shaping you into a pharmacist with the skill set to improve the world around you. You are the next generation of pharmacists, and with that comes both opportunity and responsibility. You’re not just earning a degree, you’re gaining the ability to change lives. When you graduate, you will be equipped with clinical knowledge, empathy, communication skills, and a voice that matters. Don’t underestimate that. Use them intentionally and courageously to make the world better than you found it. Once a Colonel, always a Colonel—and that will forever be true in my heart. 💛💙 With appreciation and love, Dr. Troy Lynn Lewis |
