Club Events: Colonels Create: Designing Engaging Pharmacy Outreach

We are excited to share a new project opportunity for students and student organizations to design a recruitment-based activity that engages members of the local community while promoting interest in the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy. Full project details are included in the attached document.

Project Overview
Student groups will design a fun, interactive, and educational outreach activity that could realistically be implemented by a student organization as part of a recruitment initiative. Activities should be age-appropriate (middle school and older) and welcoming to community participants.

Key Highlights

Proposals submitted by clubs or non-club associated groups

Up to 4 students per proposal; students may participate on only one proposal

Designed for ~30 participants

Includes a brief educational component and a hands-on activity

Total activity time: 45-60 minutes

Selected proposals will earn 1 non-patient SD-IPPE hour (Advocate outcome)

Opportunity to earn patient-centered SD-IPPE hours if the activity is later delivered to an audience

Timeline

Project period: January 19 – March 10, 2026

Intent to participate due: February 16, 2026

Final submission due: March 10, 2026

Verbal project review with Admissions Team: March 10 – 18, 2026

SD-IPPE hours awarded by: March 20, 2026

Submission & Review
Groups will submit a written proposal outlining how the activity meets project requirements and will participate in a brief verbal discussion and Q&A with a member of the Admissions Team.
