Wilkes-Barre, PA March 9, 2026: Mayor George C. Brown announces road closures and

parking restrictions for Wilkes-Barre City’s 46th St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will begin at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 15th at the intersection of South and South Main Streets.

 

ROAD CLOSURES & PARKING RESTRICTIONS

Road closures will begin at 8:00 AM and continue until approximately 4:00 PM, for the following streets:

  • South Main from Dana St. through Public Square
  • North Main from Public Square to Union St.
  • Academy from South Franklin St. to South Main St.
  • Hazle from South Main to South Pennsylvania Ave.
  • West River from West South St. to West Ross St.
  • Ross from South River St. to South Washington St.
  • South from South River St. to South Washington St.
  • South Franklin from South St. to West Market St.
  • Northampton from S. Franklin St. to South Washington St.
  • Market St. from S. Washington St. to Public Square
  • Market St. from S. Franklin St. to Public Square

 

No Parking Along Parade Route

Meters will be bagged and there will be “No Parking” notices posted along the parade route, encompassing the area between Dana Street to the South, Union Street to the North, Franklin Street to the West, and Washington Street to the East, beginning Saturday, March 14th at 8:00 AM. Ticketing to commence at 8:00 AM on Sunday, March 15th and towing to commence at 9:00 AM. To avoid towing and fines, parade spectators and participants are advised to adhere to both public and private “No Parking” Zones.
