The Special Olympics is hosting Water Wars at Kirby Park on March 25th. See the attached flyer for details and contact information.
Special Olympics is year-round sports training and competition for almost all ages and is becoming more unified so it is for individuals with and without intellectual/developmental disabilities. March 25th is the date of a Penguins/Phantoms game at the arena and so in the spirit of rivalry, the fundraiser is titled “End of Winter Water War.” Yes it’ll probably still be cold here in the northeast and so the goal is for people to be “freezin’ for a reason” as they battle to become the winning team which gains bragging rights and winners’ t-shirts.
