The Division of Performing Arts instrumental music program invites the campus community to three concerts in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts:
Monday, May 1, 8 pm | The Wilkes University Chamber Orchestra conducted by John Vaida performs music of Josef Haydn and Benjamin Britten
Tuesday, May 2, 7:30 pm | The Wilkes Civic Band, Dr. Philip G. Simon, conductor, performs Icons, a concert of iconic music for concert band
Wednesday, May 3, 7:30 pm | The Wilkes Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Philip G. Simon, performs Jazz with Friends, featuring composer/arrangers Jon C. Gardner and Gregory DeVeaux Holmes and jazz pianist Marshall Kornblatt, along with guest vocalists Aari Gould, Rylee Gaskill and Jay’na Johnson and the 22 piece Wilkes Jazz Ensemble.
