Faculty Researchers Seek Participants

Dr. Cooper is an associate professor and Dr. Frederickson is an assistant professor in the School of Education Doctoral Leadership Department. They are conducting a qualitative case study focusing on the experiences of undergraduate students who have transitioned to online learning as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic.

The researchers’ overall goal is to understand how your motivation levels were affected by the ways that faculty engaged with you in the transition from a traditional to an online learning environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are also interested in talking with those students who may not have made the transition from a traditional face-to-face setting but have only been taking online classes during the pandemic.

If you are interested in talking with the researchers either over the phone or via an online platform, such as Zoom or Google Meet, please email either lori.cooper@wilkes.edu or ty.frederickson@wilkes.edu by Wednesday, Feb. 16. The researchers will send a letter of informed consent to you that you will need to read, sign and return via email. They will then contact you to schedule an interview.

Interviews will last approximately 30 minutes and will be audio recorded in order to provide transcripts for our study. All identifying information, such as your name, course titles and instructor names, will be removed to protect anonymity.
