Nesbitt School of Pharmacy to Participate in the Script Your Future Challenge

The Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy (NSoP) is participating in the Script Your Future Challenge for the fourth consecutive year.

Script Your Future (SYF) is a national campaign/competition amongst pharmacy schools to raise awareness about the importance of medication adherence.

Nearly three out of four people do not take their medication as directed, and some reasons for this could be that they don’t understand how the medicine works, can’t afford their prescriptions or worry about side effects. Pharmacy students and faculty play a key role in addressing this medication adherence problem and help others understand how important it is to take medications as directed.

NSoP participated in SYF for the first time in 2019 and received the National Rookie Award. In 2021, they took home the National Social Media Outreach Award. During a time where virtual outreach became pivotal due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy stepped up and advocated for medication adherence and vaccine confidence in our community. The NSoP is excited to participate again this year and hopes to bring home another award!

The 2022 SYF Challenge is being held through Monday, March 28. Students will work with faculty to create outreach activities and use social media in the hopes of reaching as many members of the community as possible.
