Wilkes Seeks Nominees for Leadership Northeast

A committee comprised of the University’s Leadership Northeast (formerly Leadership-Wilkes-Barre) alumni will select a nominee from the University for Leadership’s 2022-23 class.

Anyone interested in being the Wilkes nominee is asked to submit a letter of interest that addresses the question: How do you think the Leadership Wilkes-Barre program can help you fulfill your aspirations as a leader at Wilkes and in Northeastern Pennsylvania?

If you have asked to be considered a candidate for Leadership Northeast in previous years, the selection committee asks that you reconfirm your interest by submitting the aforementioned letter. Also, be sure that you have the support of your supervisor before sending your letter.

Please send letters of interest via email to Paul Adams at paul.adams@wilkes.edu by the end of the day on Friday, March 31.

Leadership Northeast brings together new and emerging leaders throughout the greater Wilkes-Barre area to:

1) inform and expose participants to community concerns, problems, challenges and potential solutions;

2) provide an opportunity for participants to meet and exchange ideas; and

3) motivate and encourage participants to assume leadership roles in community affairs.

Leadership Northeast’s Core Program meets once each month from 8:30 a.m to 5 p.m., September through May. The opening retreat requires a two-day commitment.

Please visit the Leadership Northeast website to learn more about the program.

If you have questions about the program you may wish to speak to a member of the selection committee who has participated in one of the Leadership programs.  Those individuals include: Paul Adams, Mike Wood, Diane Polachek, Dorothy Lane, Rob Seeley, Diane O’Brien, Phil Ruthkosky, Kristine Pruett, Judy DeLuca, Bridget Giunta, Gabrielle D’Amico, Lisa Reynolds, Jason Wagner, Justin Kraynack, Michelle Garrison, Alicia Bond and Rhonda Rabbitt.
