English Department to Host Poet Jason Schneiderman on March 29-30

Please join us for campus events with poet, translator and essayist Jason Schneiderman on March 29-30.

Tuesday, March 29, from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. | Poetry workshop in Kirby Hall 108.  Schneiderman will bring an exercise for everyone to do together. Wilkes students, staff and faculty members are welcome. 

Wednesday, March 30 from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. | Visit to ENG 298: Advanced Workshop in Creative Nonfiction in Kirby Hall 103.  Any Wilkes student is welcome to attend this in-person session.  Please RSVP to mischelle.anthony@wilkes.edu if you plan on attending this class. 

Wednesday, March 30 at 7 p.m. | Reading and book signing in the Kirby Hall Salon.  Free and open to the public. Bring your friends and/or family!

About the artist:

Jason Schneiderman is the author of four books of poems, most recently Hold Me Tight (Red Hen, 2020). He edited the anthology Queer: A Reader for Writers (Oxford University Press, 2016). His poems and essays have appeared in numerous journals and anthologies. Schneiderman is a longstanding co-host of the podcast Painted Bride Quarterly Slush Pile. His awards include the Shestack Award and a Fulbright Fellowship. He is an associate professor of English at the Borough of Manhattan Community College and teaches in the MFA Program for Writers at Warren Wilson College.
