NEPA Scholarship Competition Association to Hold Workshop on June 3

On Friday, June 3, 2022, The NEPA Scholarship Competition Association will host a workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3, at the Courtyard by Marriott in Wilkes-Barre Township. The workshop will introduce young women ages 13–26 to the opportunities that exist in the Miss America Organization (MAO).

The NEPA Scholarship Competition Association, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that has been formed to provide the young women of northeastern Pennsylvania, along with any resident of the state, with the opportunity to begin their journey through the Miss America Organization, as local, state and national candidates.

The Miss America Organization is here to Prepare Great Women for the World and Prepare the World for Great Women. The MAO is one of the nation’s largest providers of scholarship assistance to young women.

Through this program, young women express their viewpoints, showcase their talents and accomplishments to audiences in various settings, participate in community service projects and earn scholarship dollars along the way. Most importantly, they each have their own social impact initiative that they advocate for and in many cases raise money for.

Our current titleholders advocate for sustainability, literacy, and music therapy. These initiatives have a huge impact on many organizations throughout our community.

This all begins at local associations such as ours. Young women compete locally with the opportunity to earn scholarship dollars and the ability to move on to the Miss Pennsylvania competition.

We invite you to join us at our workshop to learn all there is to know and meet our local titleholders and Miss Pennsylvania Meghan Sinisi.

Register online to reserve your spot using the QR code. Limited seating available.
