Please Review the Summer COVID-19 Protocols

As we approach the end of the spring semester and prepare for our summer session, we want to share our health and safety protocols that will take effect at the conclusion of the semester.

Testing
Wilkes will cease assurance testing as of 3 p.m. on Friday, May 13. After this time, any students or employees who have been exposed or are experiencing symptoms during the summer will be provided with free testing kits. After May 13, please visit Student Affairs in Passan Hall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. If you are experiencing symptoms, curbside test pickup can be arranged.

COVID-19 Campus Dashboards
Spring reporting on the COVID-19 dashboard will end as of Sunday, May 22. At that time, the spring dashboard will be archived and Wilkes will introduce a dashboard reflecting cases among those who are on campus this summer.

Since assurance testing will not be offered, the dashboard will only document positive cases as reported to Wilkes.

Students who test positive during the summer and are spending any time on campus must report positive results to covidtesting@wilkes.edu.

Employees on campus this summer should continue to report positive test results to Kathy Malcolm at katherine.malcolm@wilkes.edu.

Vaccination reporting
Wilkes continues to require that all members of the campus community report their COVID-19 vaccination status. New matriculating students joining us this fall will be prompted to do so during summer orientation and prior to Welcome Weekend in late August.

In lieu of receiving the vaccine, Wilkes allows for vaccination exemptions on the basis of approved medical or religious reasons, or strongly held personal beliefs. Vaccination cards or waiver forms for new students and employees can be uploaded here. Booster doses should also continue to be recorded at this link.

Thank you for your patience, consideration and flexibility during the last two years. While we all hope the worst is over, know that we will continue to monitor the virus throughout the summer and determine our COVID-19 protocols in advance of the new academic year. Please monitor your email in August for news and information.
