Wilkes University is proud to announce an expansion of our IT Help Desk to offer 24/7 assistance for students, faculty and staff during the upcoming academic year. We will partner with BlackBeltHelp, the leading provider of comprehensive IT Help Desk and OneStop solutions. They currently provide over 200 institutions with after-hours assistance.
BlackBeltHelp has a proven speedy response time, with calls and live chats addressed in minutes and emails and web submission forms addressed within two hours or less. They can do so while presenting a cost savings to the University as we expand our existing hours and services. Once fully launched, Wilkes ITS personnel will maintain the help desk from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. After these hours and on holidays and weekends, BlackBeltHelp representatives will address any technology questions or needs.
Throughout the summer, Wilkes will work to onboard BlackBeltHelp. Please look for another announcement as the partnership successfully launches this July.
For now, the Help Desk will be available from:
• 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday;
• 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday;
• 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday; and
• Noon to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
Located on the first floor of the Farley Library, the Help Desk (570-408-HELP) is also open during Wilkes business hours for walk-in support.
