Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health now available!

Submitted by: Gina Zanolini Morrison

Doctorate holders are now eligible to apply for the recently reopened Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health awards. These particular U.S. Fulbright Student Program grants are designed for early career professionals and recent Pharmacy graduates to conduct independent research – usually with ongoing initiatives – in a limited number of eligible countries. For the 2023-2024 academic year, the Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowship placements will be available in these countries:
East Asia-Pacific: Vietnam
Sub-Saharan Africa: Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, and Uganda
South and Central Asia: Nepal
Western Hemisphere: Jamaica and Peru
As each award is different, students must become very familiar with all the requirements of each grant in order to write a competitive application. To see the complete information on the Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships, go to: https://us.fulbrightonline.org/applicants/types-of-awards/fulbright-fogarty-fellowships-in-public-health

If you are in your final year at Wilkes, or a recent graduate of the Pharmacy program, you should consider applying this summer. It’s definitely not too late to begin your application, and it costs nothing. The campus deadline is Sept 1 and the national Fulbright deadline is Oct 11, 2022.
