Submitted by: Keiana Faltz

Thirteen members of the Kappa Psi Delta Omicron chapter attended the biannual Grand Council Convention in Phoenix, AZ July 17-21. While in attendance, members from the organization took part in several business meetings, continuing education presentations, as well as several educational forums. While attending the awards ceremony, Delta Omicron was given several awards, both as individuals and as a chapter.

The chapter and its members were presented with the 2022 Performing Chapter Award. This award recognizes the top 10 Collegiate Chapters in the organization using a point-based system.

Alumna Dr. Bethany Chmil was awarded the Grand Council Deputy Certificate of Excellence. This award is presented as a form of superior recognition for extraordinary contributions to the organization or the profession.

Current students, Elena Patestos (P4 member) and Julie Maddage (P3 member) were both presented with monetary scholarships from the Kappa Psi Foundation. These scholarships are given to pharmacy students in accredited Colleges or Schools of Pharmacy who have earned a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, as well as having remained active members since joining the organization.

Congratulations!
