Check Out This Summer’s Campus Improvements

Over the summer, there were numerous improvements made to campus. Here is a list of the major projects and the current status:

  • The largest campus project was the extensive work done in Stark Hall for the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and the engineering program. Highlights include the new robotics lab and new enclosed breezeways with bright, modern areas for teaching and learning. The project is nearing completion.
  • Henry’s Dining Hall on the third floor of the Henry Student Center was completely refurbished over the summer, with a fresh new look, new equipment, updated energy-efficient LED lighting and is fully operational.
  • The roof of the Marts Center gym has been replaced, and new heating and air conditioning will be installed this fall.
  • A new cooling tower has been installed in Evans Hall, improving the capacity to heat and cool the building.
  • The most recent stage of construction on the parking garage decks has been completed and will resume next summer.
  • Some progress was made on the South Street and South Franklin streetscaping. The project will be completed next summer.
