Join us for a campus screening of the documentary, “Agnes.”

Help us kick off Homecoming weekend with an exclusive campus screening of the new, 90-minute documentary film, “Agnes” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29 in the Henry Student Center ballroom. Previously only available on the big screen through sold-out events at the F.M. Kirby Center for Performing Arts, this event is free to the Wilkes community, including students, faculty, staff and alumni.
Hurricane Agnes and the subsequent flood of 1972 ravaged the Wilkes campus and the Wyoming Valley. Join us to see interviews, photographs and archived media coverage from local television stations, radio broadcasts, newspapers and national networks that has not been seen in 50 years. The Wilkes campus features prominently and the film is further evidence of the “Be Colonel” spirit that perseveres through time.

Seating is limited and pre-registration is required. Register now.

Please note that this free event is part of Homecoming weekend and you will be directed to the alumni site to register. You are welcome to register for only the screening of “Agnes” (page two of the online form) or for a weekend of fun, laughter and lifelong memories. Questions? Please contact Mary Simmons at mary.simmons@wilkes.edu.
