COMMUNITY FORUM REGARDING LITERACY AND THE COMMUNITY

Faculty, staff and students are invited to a Community Forum on October 26th (7:00 PM – 9:00 PM) focused on literacy.

The event is being hosted by the Wilkes University College of Health and Education, and it is an opportunity for our students and faculty to hear about the current state of literacy while also recognizing the commendable work that is being done locally and globally to eradicate illiteracy.

Eleven gifted speakers, including Dr. Kimmy Nguyen, will discuss the impact of illiteracy on the well-being of students and adults.  Current research on best practices that can assist individuals and organizations support struggling readers will also be discussed.

FACULTY AND STUDENTS MUST RSVP.
