Free Active Shooter Response Workshop

The Wilkes University Police Department (WUPD) is pleased to offer an opportunity to attend a workshop titled “Civilian Response to Active Shooter Event (CRASE),” presented by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The workshop will be held on Monday, November 7th, in the Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the Henry Student Center. Training begins at 11:00 am and concludes by 1:00 pm.

Topics include the nature and prevalence of active shooter and active aggressor events; civilian response options of Avoid – Deny – Defend; the stages of human disaster response, and how to improve your response in order to influence survivability; and the role of first responders at a critical incident like an active shooter or active aggressor.

There is no fee to attend this workshop.
