The GeoExplorer Club will be going to Hawai’i for its spring break trip this year. Dates of travel are March 3-11, 2023 (back in Wilkes-Barre March 12th).
The trip can only accommodate a total of 11 students. Registration is first-come first-served with a rather tight window for submitting a $1000 deposit to secure airfare. Students will have 72 hours to submit a deposit from the date of acceptance. REGISTRATION IS CURRENTLY OPEN. Just a few seats are available. The focus of this trip is to explore the environment, geology, history, and culture of the big island (Hilo). Points of interest include a Lava hike, the Green and Black Sand Beaches, Waipio Valley and Wild Horses, Ka’ū Desert hike, and brewery/plantation tours. During our stay we will be lodging in cabins and bunkhouses in places with amazing vistas!
