Free COVID-19 Booster and Flu Vaccine Clinic to be held on Thursday, Jan. 12 in the MAC

The Wilkes-Barre Health Department will offer a walk-in COVID-19 booster (bivalent Moderna) and flu vaccine clinic for those aged 12 and up on Thursday, Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m and 1 to 3 p.m. in the McHale Athletic Center. No appointments necessary.

COVID-19 BOOSTER: You are considered qualified for a bivalent booster dose if you are over 12 years of age and have completed your primary vaccination series with any approved monovalent vaccine or received a monovalent booster dose at least two months ago. As a reminder, individuals may receive any approved COVID-19 vaccine as their booster dose. It does not need to be the same vaccine manufacturer administered as part of your primary series. Only one dose of bivalent booster is authorized at this time. For the booster, please bring your vaccination card and photo ID.

FLU VACCINE: The flu vaccine is available for those 6 months old and up and the high-dose shot available for those 65 and older.
