Alpha Phi Omega is the largest co-ed service fraternity with over 25,000 current members and 500,000 alumni. APO focuses on providing community service, leadership development, and social opportunities for college students. The purpose of the fraternity is “to assemble college students in a National Service Fraternity; to develop Leadership, to promote Friendship, and to provide Service to humanity. Alpha Phi Omega’s primary focus is to provide volunteer service within four areas: service to the community, service to the campus, service to the fraternity, and service to the nation and world.
Wilkes APO will focus on weekly and monthly service events focusing on three community social issues- literacy, food dignity, and health access.
We will also be coordinating National Volunteer Week and Global Youth Service Day.
