Faculty and staff are invited to join President Cant for Spring Convocation at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24. Topics that will be covered include:
- The current state of the University, including spring enrollment details and FY23 budget challenges
- Projects completed over the winter break, and major externally-funded capital projects beginning this year
- Drivers behind the decline in undergraduate students and the actions being taken to address these challenges
- Upcoming new initiatives
- Next steps in the development of the University’s mission and values
- Preliminary work on the FY24 budget
Convocation will take place at the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts and on Zoom and last one hour. At the conclusion of the presentation, there will be a question and answer session.

- Zoom chat among participants will be disabled during Convocation and virtual participants will be able to verbally ask questions using the “raise hand” feature.
