Kirby Superstars, a project group of the 2023 Core Class of Leadership Northeast, will hold a fundraiser to benefit Kirby Family House from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Sabatini’s Bottle Shop and Bar in Exeter, Pa.
The Kirby Superstars team features three staff members from Wilkes: Erica Acosta, Kelly Clisham and Megan Valkenburg.
The Kirby Family House in downtown Wilkes-Barre provides transitional housing for families working to get back on their feet. For its community impact project, the Kirby Superstars has committed to transforming the facility’s common room with paint, furniture, books and craft supplies to help the space shine.
Scheduled for Mardi Gras, the event for guests 21+ will feature pizza, beverages, cupcakes from Front Porch Bakery, raffles for cash and prizes, and live entertainment from Dustin James and DJ Murph.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will be dedicated to covering costs of supplies to make the common area a place where families can gather, relax, engage and thrive. Tickets are $30 each and may be purchased at the door (cash or Venmo) or in advance through Venmo: @Kirby_Superstars.
