Experiencing trauma, especially during childhood, significantly increases the risk of serious health problems. As educators work to help children recover from the stressors associated with the COVID-19 era, LCHS has prioritized educating its staff on becoming a trauma-informed care workforce. By recognizing the widespread impact trauma can have on a child, educators can help children and their families understand the potential paths to recovery.
