Attention all faculty members!
The Office of Technology for Teaching and Learning reminds faculty about the call for presentation proposals for our annual faculty development event, Teaching with Technology 2023 on Wednesdays from June 14 to July 26. This is an excellent opportunity to share your expertise and ideas with your colleagues, and to help build a community of learning and growth at our institution.
We welcome proposals from all faculty members, regardless of discipline or area of expertise. We are particularly interested in presentations that address the following themes:
- Innovative teaching practices
- Diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom
- Current trends/tools in technology and education
- Effective online teaching and course design
Presentations can take the form of workshops, panels, or individual/team talks. Format will be similar to last year. Details can be found on the online submission form. We encourage presenters to think creatively about their format and content, and to engage participants in interactive and meaningful learning experiences.
To submit a proposal, please complete the online form. The deadline for submissions is April 21st, and presenters will be notified by mid-May.
We look forward to hearing from you and to creating a dynamic and engaging faculty development event together. Thank you for your participation and your commitment to excellence in teaching, learning and technology use.
Note: This announcement was created using ChatGPT with minor modifications. We’d love to host a panel discussion and have other sessions on how faculty are embracing, or not, these new artificial intelligence tools. If interested, please complete the online form or reach out to Kristine Pruett to discuss ideas.
