Inclusive Language Matters

The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility, and Anti-Racism Task Force through the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy is hosting Mrs. Michalene Davis, who will review LGBTQ identities, language health disparities, and discuss small changes that people can make to affirm LGBTQ client’s identities.

This event will be held Tuesday, May 2nd @ 10-11:00am in SLC 137 and will have donuts and coffee for attendees.

Mrs. Michalene Davis (she/her) is a Senior Health Educator at Maternal and Family Health Services. Her background includes seven years of working with adolescents and adults to facilitate discussion around sexual and reproductive health with topics including safer sex methods, STD/STI prevention, healthy relationships, and LGBTQ topics. She has earned a Master’s Degree in clinical psychology from Marywood University and a Master’s of Education in Human Sexuality from Widener University. She is passionate about helping individuals make healthy choices for themselves and is committed to promoting accurate, unabashed, and comprehensive sexuality education for youth and adults in the NEPA area.
