Script Your Future Competition Recognition

Submitted by: Dr. Danielle Kieck

I wanted to share the Script your Future successes this year and celebrate with everyone in the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy!

This year marks our 5th year participating in the Script your Future (SYF) Challenge, and we did a great job continuing to engage our community and spread the message of medication adherence and vaccine confidence.

Even with this year’s competition running a shorter period of time than in previous years (< 2 months), we were able to participate in 14 community events with 110 volunteers reaching 638 patients!

One of our new events that we are very proud of involved pharmacy students holding a Kahoot Night for Wilkes University nursing students. During this event, pharmacy students reviewed medication information for the NCLEX and encouraged the nursing students to be adherence advocates with resources to promote medication adherence to friends, family and patients they will see in practice.

Our social media was active this year with 27 posts across platforms with 3,937 total views!
This success was made possible by all of the support and engagement of students, faculty and staff in our school and I can not be more proud of our Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy Pharmily 🙂

A special shout out to…
Our SYF Student Leaders: Emma Stauffer, Rachael Thomas, and Shannon Boyle

Our SYF Social Media Representative: Kaylee Simmons

Our SYF Reporting Representatives: Maddy Yeager and Jess Salus

Our SYF Faculty Advisors: Dr. Kieck and Dr. Lewis

Our SYF Faculty Preceptors: Dr. Warunek, Dr. McManus and Dr. Nguyen (with an extra special shout out for sharing her amazing vaccine confidence coloring pages)

All of the NSoP clubs and organizations who participated with SYF this year! We appreciate all of the time, coordination, and planning you completed to make this year amazing!

All P1 to P4 student volunteers for their overall dedicated time and energy during a busy school year to improve patient adherence and vaccine confidence!

We will find out our results in July!
