July 19 opens with a session on how to be a rock star online instructor. At 9AM Kristine Pruett will cover what skills and dispositions you need to be highly effective at teaching online and support your students to be successful in this format. This session is geared towards new online instructors but experienced online instructors will be invited to share their best tips. At 10AM, Kathy Lewis will be talking about how to humanize your online course and bring a personal style to it so that you can build better connections with your students. If your course feels a bit “robotic” this session is for you! Lastly, we have Marcel Carita Vaz at 11AM sharing about developing and teaching apps to help students better understand math concepts. Looks to be an exciting day with an emphasis for our online instructors.
