Get involved with Riverfest 2023! If you, your office, students, team, friends, or family would like to get involved with the Wilkes-Barre community this summer, consider volunteering at the Dragonboat Races and Riverfest this August. The event will be held on August 12th and 13th. To sign up, please contact riverfrontparksvolunteer@gmail.com.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Helping with the Env Ed activities such as making fish prints (the children use a fish template with paints to create a t-shirt) and other associated environmental ed activities
- Helping with traffic control for parking
- Helping the kayakers carry their kayaks when they return to Nesbitt Park
- Helping the Dragon Boat participants enter and leave the Dragon Boats from the pier
- Helping with registration and t-shirt sales
