PHL 115: Business Ethics is not just for Business students

PHL 115 covers issues that everyone who works for a business or patronizes a business needs to reflect on…in other words, all of us.  In this course, we explore questions regarding everyday ethics at work, what employees owe their employers, how much honesty is morally required in business, the ethics of advertising, the social responsibilities of businesses, when whistleblowing is required, issues of social justice, the role work might play in the good life, environmental responsibilities of businesses, and more.  PHL 115 also satisfies a requirement for Area I in the General Education requirements for a Wilkes University bachelor’s degree.

PHL 115 is being offered next semester MWF 10-10:50 a.m.  For more information, contact Dr. Paul at linda.paul@wilkes.edu.
