The 31st Annual Taste of Wilkes: Neighborhood Cookout will be held in the Jean and Paul Adams Commons from 11:30am-1:00pm on Tuesday, November 7th to support the Wilkes United Way campaign. The admissions price is $5, and event and basket raffle tickets may be purchased in advance at the Taste of Wilkes online store! With admission, you get a delicious buffet lunch, a chance to check out our basket raffle and the satisfaction of helping to support local efforts to support children and family in the Wyoming Valley, which includes Wilkes’ SHINE program. The event runs from 11:30pm – 1:00pm, so we strongly encourage attending as close to the start of the event as possible, as food does go quickly. Taste-test different dishes prepared by your campus colleagues, including a variety of appetizers and salads, along with sweet treats! You may enjoy your food at the event or take it to go, and we ask those who take food to-go are asked to bring their own reusable bags. Attendees will vote for favorite dishes, with categories for best overall dish, best savory dish, and best dessert! We look forward to seeing you there!
