The Wilkes University Civic Band and Jazz Ensemble are looking for instrumentalists to join for the Spring 2024 semester. If you play woodwinds, brass, or percussion, you are invited to join our ensembles. Both ensembles are open to all members of the university community.
Wilkes University Civic Band
Large Concert Band – comprised of students, faculty, staff, and community members
- Rehearsals are Wednesdays 6:30pm-9:00pm in Room 41 of the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts
- The Spring 2024 concert is scheduled for the evening of May 1st, 2024
- Our first rehearsal will be on Wednesday January 24th.
- In-person auditions are Wednesday January 17th. Online auditions also available. See instructions.

Wilkes University Jazz Ensemble
Big Band Jazz Ensemble open to all members of the campus community who play saxophone, trombone, trumpet, or a rhythm section instrument.
- Rehearsals are Thursdays 6:30-9:00pm in Room 41 of the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center for the Performing Arts
- The Spring 2024 concert is scheduled for the evening of Tuesday April 30th, 2024.
- Our first rehearsal will be on Thursday January 25th
