The Nesbitt School of Pharmacy Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility/Anti-Racism Task Force would like to announce our upcoming symposium, “Fostering Inclusivity: The Impact of Inclusive Language in Healthcare,” on Saturday, March 16th from 9am – 3pm in the Henry Student Center, JPAC.

Participants will learn to utilize language as a powerful tool to create psychologically safe, inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environments when speaking to patients.

We are excited to welcome our keynote speaker, John M Allen Pharm.D., BCPS, BCCCP, FCCM, FCCP. Associate Dean For Accessibility, Belonging And Community Health, Clinical Associate Professor, University of Florida College of Pharmacy, for his presentation, “Leveraging Inclusive Language to Unlock the Potential of Eliminating Health Disparities.”

Our very own P1 student pharmacists will be presenting their major projects, so please come ready to learn and support them!
