Join PHEAA Staff as they highlight the two newest programs designed to assist PA students: PA Mental Health Education Learning Program in Schools (PA HELPS) & PA Student Teacher Support Program. PA HELPS is a state-funded program which encourages students to complete internships in school-based mental health fields in Pennsylvania and obtain their employment and certifications in a Pennsylvania Local Education Agency (LEA). The PA Student Teacher Support Program is designed to provide financial support to students who are completing their student teaching requirements in a PA Department of Education approved teacher preparation program.
