Reminder – Call for Faculty Presenters for TWT 2024

Reminding all faculty members that the Office of Technology for Teaching and Learning (OTTL) is looking for presentation proposals for our annual faculty development event, Teaching with Technology (TWT) 2024 on the following Wednesday mornings: June 5, 12, 26 and July 10, 17, 24. TWT is the perfect opportunity to share something new you may have tried this year (such as a new active teaching strategy or the incorporation of an AI activity/lesson), share any teaching and learning research you may have conducted, report how you used a new technology tool or platform, or how your new class policy on AI worked or didn’t – the sky is the limit. TWT is your time to get together with colleagues in an informal setting and share what you are doing in the classroom.

We welcome proposals from all faculty members, regardless of discipline or area of expertise. We are particularly interested in presentations on current topics in these areas:

  • Innovative teaching practices
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom
  • Current trends/tools in technology and education
  • Effective online teaching and course design

The format will be similar to last year. Details can be found on the online submission form. We encourage presenters to think creatively about their format and content, and to engage participants in interactive and meaningful learning experiences.

To submit a proposal, please complete the online form. The deadline for submissions is April 8th, and presenters will be notified in early May.

We look forward to hearing from you and to creating a dynamic and engaging faculty development event together. If you have any questions about session ideas or want to brainstorm topics, please reach out to kristine.pruett@wilkes.edu to discuss!
