Education students can apply for an exciting new opportunity offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide a stipend during your semester of student teaching. If you are planning to student teach in Fall 2024 or Spring 2025, you can apply to receive between $10-15 thousand dollars depending on your teaching assignment. This is a brand new program with funding on a first come-first served basis. Because of the limited funding, you should apply for this as soon as the application is available for your best chance at receiving an award. This application period applies to anyone planning to student teach in the Fall of 24 or Spring of 25. They hope to provide additional funding in future years as well.
The application will be posted on the PHEAA website at www.pheaa.org/studentteacher no later than Thursday, April 11th. Please check the website periodically so you do not miss out on this opportunity.
