C&D Waterproofing will start exterior brick work and sealing at University Towers on Monday, June 24. Work may start as early as 7 a.m. and the team may put in long hours to complete the project.
Workers will be repelling from the roof and using a large lift. For safety reasons, no one should walk, park or drive in the area at these times.
The work will begin on the north side of University Towers between the building and the parking garage, then progress to the east side of the building facing the parking lot.
The driveway between University Towers and the parking garage will be closed starting on Monday, June 24, and will likely not reopen until later this summer as roof replacement work will start in early July.
When work begins on the east side of University Towers, facilities will close breezeway access to the parking lot, though breezeway access to the front of the building will remain open.
The parking lot entrance to SHINE will be closed for a period of time when work progresses to that area, but the South and Main Street entrances to SHINE, IR and HR will remain open.
Emergency exits will be open throughout the project.
Please stay alert to changing conditions and exercise caution in the area surrounding University Towers as it will be an active construction site.
