We are winding down this year’s TWT sessions! Due to some schedule changes we now have two more weeks instead of just one! If you haven’t joined us yet we hope to see you at one or both of these final two weeks!
The July 24 sessions begin at 9am with the OTTL Team joining forces to give you simple strategies to improve your online course. Based on the book, Small Teaching Online, we will share with you a variety of simple to implement ideas that support student engagement, critical thinking, metacognition, and overall student learning.
At 10am Kathy Lewis takes you beyond tests to explore alternative assessment strategies. While traditional exams are one way to assess student learning they are not the only way. Join Kathy to learn about other ways to assess learning through authentic applications of knowledge that also bolster academic integrity.
At 11am the full OTTL team comes together again to review the new Brightspace Community and new training opportunities on D2L. Come and see how to get the most out of this valuable resource!
Due to a schedule change, we have added one more week! July 31 will now have two sessions – Engaging Compliance was rescheduled and will be offered July 31 at 9am and we have added one new workshop, Getting Started with Panopto. We are bringing in the Panopto trainer to offer an hour long session on how to get started using the Panopto video platform. If you are new to teaching at Wilkes or if you need a refresher, we encourage you to to take advantage of this workshop.
Get all of the details and register for sessions by visiting the TWT website. Missed a past session? The recordings for sessions are also available on the schedule page under each description.
Remember you can earn the TWT 2024 Attendee Badge by attending at least three complete sessions over the course of the event.
Your colleagues and the OTTL team look forward to seeing you! Questions? Email us at ottl@wilkes.edu.
