Fulbright Friday: Special Awards in STEM-Public Health & Cultural Studies

Fulbright-Fogarty Fellowships in Public Health. Offered through a partnership between the Fulbright Program and NIH, the Fogarty International Center of the U.S. National Institutes of Health and are available to graduate students or those who have their professional degrees by the time of placement, which (for this grant) is July 2025. Applicants who are selected with join existing research projects established to promote the expansion of research in public health and clinical research in resource-limited settings. Research project topics include Neuropsychology, Nutrition, Maternal health/Neonatal Health, HICV/AIDS, Epidemiology, Non-Communicable Diseases, Sexual & Reproductive Health, Tuberculosis, and Environmental Health. Ifk Junior Fellowship in Cultural Studies in Austria
This award to Austria is specifically designed for U.S. PhD candidates who are working on an interdisciplinary research project with a focus on cultural studies. Academic subjects include the humanities, social sciences, and arts. Research projects can, but do not have to, relate to the current research focuses of “cultures of translation,” “different work,” or “situated in the global.” Applicants for the Fulbright-ifk Junior Fellowship will also be considered for traditional Fulbright student grants.

Fulbright is the flagship international academic exchange program sponsored by the United States Government. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for the U.S. Student Program. You must be at least a rising senior to apply. The 2025-26 competition is now open. Campus deadline is September 1.
