Fulbright Student Grants in Taiwan

The U.S. Fulbright Student Program offers incredible opportunities for early career professionals of any age to jumpstart their careers by teaching English abroad for one academic year – all expenses paid. As a Fulbright ETA (English Teaching Assistant) you would be assisting the local English teacher–not in charge of the ESL program itself. In fact, you do not need prior ESL training or teaching experience, although that would be a plus.

Study/Research grants are also available to students who design their own projects, such as a writing a novel or conducting a research project. These grantees typically work with advisers at foreign universities or other institutes of higher education in approximately 140 countries. You can also pursue a graduate degree abroad, often with tuition expenses covered. Your Fulbright award would then be contingent upon your acceptance at the chosen university. Over 140 countries offer Fulbright Grants, which are subsidized by the U.S. Department of State and open to U. S. students, recent graduates, or early career professionals.

This week’s Award Spotlight  is on TAIWAN:

  1. Taiwan offers 150 grants for English Teaching Assistants, the second highest number of any country. For more information on their ETA awards, click here. Only English is required.
