As students return to life and work on campus, the offices of human resources and student financial services are asking for the help of all work study supervisors in ensuring the University’s compliance with all applicable employment laws and university policy. As a reminder, all required documentation (work study application AND student onboarding paperwork, including completed in person ID verification) must be finalized before the student begins working.
We encourage all supervisors to review the recording of our recent Work Study Supervisor Meeting which details the process for new and returning students.
If supervisors are made aware of any student employees who have begun working prior to receiving approval, we ask that you please pause work activities until their paperwork is fully completed and approved. If you are not sure whether a student employee has been approved to begin work, please reach out to Kim Mazur (x5902). This applies to both new and returning student employees.
We understand the value of the work study program to both our students and supervisors, and we appreciate your cooperation in ensuring compliance with our onboarding process. Our goal is to support supervisors and student employees in completing the process as quickly as possible so students can begin their work. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist.
