Wellness Workshop Today

Final reminder – From Darkness to Light: Managing Seasonal Affective Disorder will be held today!

Are shorter days affecting your mood? Do you or someone you know struggle with low energy, sadness, or lack of motivation during the colder months?

The Wilkes Wellness Committee is pleased to bring you this workshop to give you a deeper understanding of Seasonal Affective Disorder and how it might impact you. Join two of our faculty members from the Passan School of Nursing, Drs. Eugene Lucas and Gina Harrison, on February 28th at 12pm to learn more about seasonal affective disorder and how it might impact you. The workshop will be held in Simms room 231.

Attend this presentation to:

  • Explore the importance of daylight and its impact on mental health
  • Understand Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and how it affects daily life
  • Identify risk factors that make certain individuals more vulnerable
  • Learn to recognize the symptoms of SAD early
  • Discover diagnostic tools used by healthcare professionals
  • Review treatment options and preventative strategies to regain balance

Even though we are coming towards the end of winter, we aren’t out of it yet! Don’t let the seasons control your well-being.

Since this will be held over the noon hour, feel free to bring your lunch and enjoy it during the talk.

We look forward to seeing you there!
