Looking to make an impact in the world? And grow as a leader? Apply to the Bonner Leader Program for fall 2025!
If you qualify for federal work study while attending Wilkes, and you enjoy volunteering and learning and growing, consider applying to be a Bonner Leader. This unique program allows you to get paid to serve at a non-profit organization in the community. Plus… Bonners are awarded a $2,000 stipend for the year to account for the training sessions, retreats, and other required meetings throughout fall and spring semesters.
Bonner Leaders attend regular training sessions dedicated to strengthening leadership skills, communication skills, project management skills, and more. Each incoming cohort has the opportunity to grow together, and they work with the upperclassmen cohorts to positively impact campus and the surrounding communities through various activities and events during the school year.
- Freshmen Bonners spend spring break in Washington, D.C. doing service in our nation’s capital.
- Sophomores spend a day with Bonners from other universities to network and learn about each others’ programs.
- Juniors travel to a new destination each May to perform service work and explore different parts of the country.
- Senior Bonners complete a capstone project that will continue to impact their service site after graduation.
This exciting and fulfilling opportunity for undergraduates to learn and grow as a leader while making an impact in our communities is offered to only a few students each year. Please review the details on this webpage to learn more: https://www.wilkes.edu/bonner.
