Wilkes University Archives is seeking a student, federal or institutional work-study eligible, who is interested in helping us digitize the Norman Mailer research collection this summer. This would be part time, up to 12 hours a week, anytime between Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 8am-12pm. The stipend for this position if not federal work-study eligible is $2025, which can potentially go through the Fall if the student is interested.
The student would be scanning with a birds eye scanner lots of materials within the collection, such as Mailer’s book drafts, correspondence, photographs, and promotional materials. The student in question would need to be motivated and have a keen attention to detail, and an ability to stay on task while doing repetitive tasks.
If any of you are interested please include in your email to suzanna.calev@wilkes.edu the subject line “Norman Mailer digitization project”, a small paragraph telling me about yourself and your interest in the position, and your resume.
