Join the Sordoni Art Gallery for SOMA Night Lights, a mesmerizing celebration of art and technology on Friday, April 25, from 6 to 11 pm on the 100 Block of S. Main St.!
The evening will start with glass-blowing demos from Keystone College’s Mobile Glass Blowing Studio. There will be a graffiti bomb of a car led by Blitz. Ink (check back next week to sign up to paint!). You can play Nintendo favs on the side of the Karambelas Media Center with Wilkes University‘s Esports team. The Rusty Iris, a school bus transformed into a double-decker, mobile sculpture, art exhibit, and venue, will be blasting tunes all night long with fire performances at 7:30, 9:00, and 10:30 pm!
The Kids Courtyard at 116 S. Main St. will have fun, free crafts for children and tables featuring some of our favorite community partners like the Fine Arts Fiesta, F.M. Kirby Center, Studio 20 (Wilkes University), and Circle Centre for the Arts, home of the Wyoming Valley Art League. Check out our info booth to learn about the event, what’s going on in the SOMA Arts District, and buy some awesome merch made by one of our sponsors, Axelrad Screen Printing.
Once the sun sets, we will kick off the projections by Jeff Dobrow. He will transform buildings in the SOMA Arts District (100 Block of S. Main St., downtown Wilkes-Barre) into incredible works of art. The Down Pour’s façade will feature a special projection featuring artwork from community members.
We are so excited for this event and can’t wait for you to join us on Friday, April 25, from 6 to 11 pm in the SOMA Arts District! More info: wilkes.edu/snl.
