Lavendar Celebration of LGBTQ+ Students who are graduating

The Wilkes GSA would like to host a lavender celebration to recognize our LGBTQ+ students graduating this year. You do not have to be an active member of the GSA to participate. I just need to know that you are interested. The celebration will take place on May 8th. Participants will receive a certificate and lavender cord. If you would like to participate, please complete this 2 question form or reply to this email with your name as you would like it to appear on your certificate and in the ceremony as well as your majors/minors/degrees. The ceremony is open to undergraduate and graduate students. Please respond by Friday, May 2nd.

The first lavender graduation was held in 1995 at the University of Michigan. Now, more than 50 colleges and universities across the country celebrate with ceremonies and celebrations.  Wilkes University held its first celebration last year.
